Martin is visiting Christ College to publicise Natural England’s free maps scheme. In a tie-up with Ordnance Survey (OS), Natural England are offering schools a resource to help teach the art of map reading. The Language of Landscape booklet for teachers will be distributed as part of the national mapping agency’s annual Free Maps for 11 Year Olds scheme. The initiative, which launched on 3 September, will provide every Year 7 pupil with an OS Explorer Map to keep.

Martin is attending the Winston’s Wish Annual Christmas Gathering at Cheltenham Ladies’ College. This event is an opportunity for families who have been supported by Winston’s Wish to come together to remember the person in their life who has died. The event is a poignant ceremony, where children and their families are able to share their thoughts and feelings and we reflect on the last year at Winston’s Wish.
