About time too. I was trying to get this in cheltenham 4 years ago but the council thought it was not an image that they wanted for cheltenham.
ReplyDeletePork and turkey rolls from a van in the high street is?
Next time they should make it bigger and open air - following London's example, perhaps with a big christmas tree, to get into christmas spirit, rather than in a crummy tent!
ReplyDeleteat least they have one finally its great for kids :)
ReplyDeleteAWFUL - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. This artificial skating surface is impossible to skate on. The blades of the skates are not able to grip the hard surface and as you try to skate, your legs splay out. We stayed 5 minutes. A huge disappointment.
ReplyDeleteit was amaizng, best time ever!
ReplyDeletewhat wrong with pork and turkey rolls yum!
This is not ICE SKATING as described above. It is a dangerous artificial surface. A disgrace - should be removed post haste.
ReplyDeleteGloucester has an amazing ice rink with REAL ice - and its only a few miles away!
ReplyDeleteJust to correct the ill-informed comment regarding the rink being dangerous. It is not dangerous, it is an artificial, eco-friendly skating surface, designed to be undercover out of wind and rain. The 20m span marquee is hardly a "crummy marquee". Designed to withstand all weather, this type of structure is widely used throughout the hospitality industry.
ReplyDeletePlease do not post such ignorant comments, the problem is that your ignorance can affect commercial operations, so please be quiet and do your research.
With regards to the response above I assume this is from the commercial operation itself. This site is designed to allow free expression of opinion and to warn others before they are taken for a ride by such a commercial operation. The reference to your customer's 'ignorance' is a reflection of the attitude of this commercial organisation I fear.
ReplyDeletei'm so chuffed it's back again my kids love it. me too :)
ReplyDeleteDo you need (or can you) book tickets for this?
ReplyDeleteI love ice skating and I was really looking forward to going until I saw all of these negative comments and now I do not know what to do now. Help!!!!!!!!!! Is it worth going??
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, it's not on this year...
