Cheltenham Connect Craft and Music Festival

3 - 4 July 2010, Bath Road

The weekend of the 3rd and 4th July will see two days of bands and entertainment at The Norwood Arms and Exmouth Arms, Bath Road, Cheltenham, as well as other events going on in the shops along the road.

The Norwood Arms
Locally made crafts being sold from market stalls in the car park, Local trader stalls, Bouncy castle, Face painting, Health and wellbeing area, Local musicians playing all day.

The Exmouth Arms
Badge making, Flag decorating, Summer fete games, Toddlers play area, Barbeque, Local organisations, Green group area, Health and wellbeing area, Local traders stands, Local musicians all day.

Saturday 3rd July 2010
12 noon on Saturday 3rd July sees the official opening of The Norwood Triangle (in the road behind The Exmouth Arms), where 200 years ago to the day the Leckhampton Tramroad was opened. The opening will be attended by the Earl of Suffolk, whose great, great, great, great grandfather, who opened the original tramroad, as well as Martin Horwood MP, Anne Regan Cheltenham Mayor, Cheltenham Silver Band and St James' Primary School Junior Choir.

On Saturday 1-3pm, meet John "Duff" Lowe, who played with Lennon and McCartney when they were in The Quarrymen, at The Record Shop.

Also on Saturday, Mayor's Grand Balloon Race will set off at 4.30pm from The Exmouth Arms.

Sunday 4th July 2010
On Sunday 2.30pm, enter the "Eco Warriors" fancy dress competition. Let your imagination run wild! Endangered animals, Carbon monsters, Recycling heroes, Green giants, 10:10 planet earth protectors...

Raffle tickets will be on sale all weekend. Raffle prizes include Champagne lunch for 2 at The Daffodil, Tea on the Terrace at the House of Commons and many more.
