Cheltenham Swedish Group update

Cheltenham Swedish Group was set up in October 2007 to celebrate the culture and the language of Sweden. It is a fun informal group which meets every 2-4 weeks, usually in a cafe or pub for an informal social gathering and some Swedish conversation in a relaxed atmosphere.

The Swedish Group continues to grow, and there is now over 30 people on the email list, with many of them attending regular events. Their next event is on Tuesday 15th April at The Swan pub, 37 High Street, Cheltenham, at 8pm. The Swan is located just beyond the south-eastern end of the pedestrianised section of the High Street, between St. James Street and Berkeley Street. There is a large public car park directly behind the pub. If you are interested in Swedish culture you are welcome to come along.

Another way to celebrate Swedish culture, in particular Swedish cuisine, locally is to visit Cheltenham's only Swedish restaurant and cafe Svea, located in Rodney Road, where among other things you can try fantastic Swedish cakes.

If you are a member of a Cheltenham club or society and would like to get your club's profile featured to promote its activities please get in touch. To find out how please visit our website www.cheltenham4u.co.uk/community.
